Seven Suburbs Beating the “Boom”

3 April 2018

REIWA President Hayden Groves commented on the change in market conditions stating while overall house sales volumes had declined in Perth since 2014, there were seven suburbs that had stood against this trend to record increases in sales activity.

Amongst these suburbs were Alkimos and Golden Bay, two of which are popular suburbs buyers can find Now Living Realty properties in. These suburbs are now recording higher sales volumes now than they did during the “boom”.

“While sales volumes in the seven suburbs are fairly modest, it’s a testament to these smaller markets that they have weathered the challenging conditions of the last few years so well.”

“For some of the relatively newer suburbs on this list, population growth has played a role in their sales volumes improving. However, interestingly, the majority of the suburbs on the list are well-established, affluent suburbs like Trigg, Salter Point, Leederville and Ardross.

Alkimos is located 42 km north of Perth and boasts a coastal lifestyle suitable for those who want to be well connected to the ocean whilst still being close enough to daily amenities. Golden Bay, located 63 km south of Perth is well known for its coastal lifestyle and close proximity to Mandurah.
